This lady has very progressive Multiple Sclerosis and requires assistance with every aspect of her life, including all aspects of personal care. She lives with her mother and any PA?s will be employed and directed by her mother who takes responsibility for her daughters care and independence in line with her daughter?s wishes.Before she had MS this lady used to be a dancer and musician and she is still interested in the arts.  In the past she had even written her own music.To be this ladies PA, you do not need formal qualifications but, you need to be flexible, be a good time keeper, and have common sense.  She would prefer somebody who has an understanding of MS and is able to use a hoist, but it is not essential as long as any applicant has a willingness to learn more about MS and how to use a hoist as on the job training will be provided by her mother and/or senior PA. You will also need to have a degree of patience, tolerance, and have a sense of humour.  This job involves the following tasks, personal care, general housework, putting laundry in basket, making sure the lady is safe, using a hoist, and any other reasonable tasks. The appointed PA must be willing to work together with another PA and cover sickness and holidays.A relief/cover PA is required.  The lady has fulltime care so the hours will vary greatly.  Shifts alternate and are 9am-6pm or 10am to 7pm or 6pm to 10pm and you may be called on to do some overnight shifts.  Hours will be discussed at interview.  Two PAs will be working together during day shifts and from 8pm-10pm during the night hours.Rate of pay is £7.70 an hour and you can apply by quoting reference AX105Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only for this post in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9 part 1).  Please note that we will only contact the candidates that have been shortlisted for interview.
