Architect - Residential, Education & CommercialCapita have a new job available for an Architect based in Manchester. You will be an experienced Architect who will work alongside the Associates and Senior Management Team to deliver a large multi-purpose project by early next year. Once this is completed you will be involved with a variety of different projects across a range of sectors. You will be experienced with Revit Modelling as this is an essential part of your role and our methodology.You will work as part of a team of architects and technicians on a daily basis, contributing to both design and delivery of projects across various sectors including Education, Health and Commercial (This will include residential/workplace/retail and mixed use)This role is suited to a qualified Architect, who can demonstrate a range of design and technical delivery skills. The individual will be a capable and independent designer with a detailed understanding of the construction and design process from inception to delivery. A good understanding and technical ability in detailed design (particularly focused on Revit), the specification and performance of materials. The individual will be experienced in applying the RIBA plan of work and will be responsible for discharging the duties of an Architect (as agreed) at all project stages. Good project organisational skills and a clear understanding of the QA processes and management of other disciplines as lead consultant. The breadth and depth of our experience ensures that we are able to add value to any project, regardless of size, complexity or sector.Essential CriteriaRIBA / ARB qualified with strong experience in project delivery / project team managementClear post qualification experienceAutodesk Revit / 3-d modelling and AutoCAD capabilityA creative and an inspiring approachStrong organisational skills and ability to work under pressureProven experience in delivery of projects in priority sectors including education, health, residential and leisure sectorsInitiative and drive, with a positive attitudeAbility to foster and apply innovationResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Engage with the management team and wider business to raise the profile of the team and to foster a strong and integrated team culture.Help drive design quality through our work and maintain the standards of good design established by Capita.Responsible for effective and profitable project delivery to achieve required financial targets /business plan.Deliver projects through all of the RIBA work stages at a high standard.Lead in the preparation of presentations to clients and other consultants.Prepare and present reports on aspects of projects.Work with the Design/Studio Directors and Associates to prepare fee proposals.Lead and manage a team of Technical and junior staff to successfully complete tasks/projects.Assist in the operational management of projects through assisting with project resource allocation, monthly forecasting and financial monitoring, ensuring financial targets are achieved or exceeded.Responsible for project based delivery and rigorous Quality Assurance processes for their projects according to BMS. Working at each stage to proactively reduce risk and minimise claims.Support new business opportunities through bids and tenders, raising the profile of / promoting the team's services and through networking, both within company and across the markets in which we operate.Deliver services (on a daily basis) in accordance with the ARB Code of Conduct.Participate in regular design reviews.The PersonWe are looking for candidates who have the confidence, tenacity and professionalism to produce high quality results.The culture is one of promotion according to talent and impact.
