Location - North East (Glasgow to Northallerton, North East Corridor) Key competencies and requirements - 2 years quantifiable track record working for a recognised contractor providing building services up to £400K. Consultant - Alice King My client - My client is looking for an experienced architect for a scope of works on a building services contract that falls within the schools, university and collages services sector. Projects range from between £50K and £400K and are a combination of hard and soft services. Work ranges from replacement floors, new buildings, extensions, replacement lighting, lifts and signage. Job Description - Architect Creating building and interior designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applicationsLiaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential projectsWorking around constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budgetWorking closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologistsAdapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during constructionPlaying a part in project and team managementControlling a project from start to finishRegular site visits to check on progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budgetEnsuring that the environmental impact of the project is managed Qualifications and experience Experience of using REVIT softwareExperience with Building RegulationsExperience with Multi - Occupancy, desirably Student Accommodation Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads Excellent organisation skills
