Our aim is to make a real difference to the people we support by enabling them to enjoy a valued life.We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, part-qualified Assistant Accountant to join our busy Finance team on a full-time, fixed term contract until March 2019.Your Mission: To provide advice and guidance to Regional Directors and their teams in relation to the financial performance of their allocated region. The role will also involve leading/participating in department projects as required.To take on this exciting opportunity, we will need you bring:-- In-depth knowledge of management accounts preparation.- Experience in budgeting and variance analysis.- An understanding of finance related systems- Ability to provide advice and guidance on budgets to the Branch Leaders and their teams- Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent IT skillsIt's a really exciting time to join Cornerstone. If you're successful in gaining this role, you'll not only have the opportunity to further your career at one of Scotland's largest charities, you'll be contributing to improving the lives of people with disabilities & support needs through the work that you do. Based in our Glasgow office, the successful candidate will be required to assist with the production of monthly management accounts including monitoring income and expenditure against budgets and investigating significant variances. For this role, you will be an organised, effective communicator with the ability to work to tight deadlines and work flexibly as part of a team.
