Job Role Description We are currently recruiting an Assistant Occupational Therapist for Tesito House, Ardwick, to provide support to the Advanced Practitioner in Occupational Therapy and their clinical practice to the multidisciplinary team. Additionally, you will co-facilitate the delivery of individual and group based therapies, clinical assessments, related intervention planning and outcome measurement. You will be interested in:- - Music - Cooking - Sports - Swimming - Reading - Making links with the local community Required Skills & Experience You will be educated to NVQ level 2 or equivalent with 1 years' experience of providing person-centred support to adults with mental health concerns. You will have experience of working with and relating to people form a wide variety of backgrounds as well as leading within a team. You will be a confident and positive communicator with the ability to listen sensitively to others. The ability to provide sympathetic, emotional and practical support to stressed adults and a positive attitude to people with learning disabilities and mental health problems are key skills for this role. You must have a willingness to learn and develop and an ability to make connections within the wider community to enhance the support available for the women at Tesito and offer a range of leisure/hobby activities that can be shared with the people we support; a good understanding of community and domestic safety issues is essential. A Female Assistant Occupational Therapist is preferable.
