This position requires regular weekend work and the shifts will be as follows:Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 7:00am - 10:00amSaturday, Sunday - 7:00am - 11:00amAt Holiday Inn Express we want our guests to rest and feel energised and ready for the day ahead which means we need team members to demonstrate the following service behaviours: ·      Make a Connection ? show guests that they are important and make them feel at ease by taking time to acknowledge them in a friendly way. ·      Be Helpful ? familiarise yourself with all the services in the hotel and the local area to answer any question and give guests what they need to find their own way. ·      Be Efficient? take ownership and play your part to get things done by making things easier for guests; doing as much as in advance and multi-task when you need to. Job overview·       General reception duties, including checking in and out of guests, answering telephone to company standards, making reservations and dealing with queries and enquiries.·       Cash handling including float counting and banking in compliance with company standards.·       Communicate any changes to room status throughout the day with housekeeping. ·Bar duties, including setting up, replenishing of stocks, serving guests, cleaning tables and washing glasses. ·Setup, preparation, service and clearing of breakfast including using the dishwasher and general cleaning and tidying.·      Preparation of meeting rooms including meeting and greeting of clients, maintenance during the day and clearing after meetings.·    Communication of maintenance issues between housekeeping and maintenance technicianDuties and Responsibilities·  Assist GSM with running of shift and under supervision be able to actively undertake        more senior responsibilities.·  Completion of tasks as designated per shift·  Taking and checking deliveries from suppliers·  Be actively involved in your personal development and training·  Any other duties that may be requested by the managementQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSArticulate & communicativeGood written & oral EnglishNumerateWell presented.Good interpersonal skillsOrganised and systematicConcern for quality of product and serviceComputer literate in a business environmentTeam workerHave a desire to progress and develop within the company.An ability to learn without dedicated training.To be able to anticipate needs of both Customers and Staff and act before being prompted.The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years experience in a similar customer service based role.This position will require regular weekend work and shift work, the ideal candidate will also be expected to work overtime where necessary.The statements in this job description are intended to describe the essential nature and level of work being performed.
