I am currently looking for a CAD Technician to work on an initial 3 month contract in Cambridge.To provide technical support, including CAD and GIS service input to the planning, management, development and adoption of high quality public realm assets, including parks, open spaces, play areas, river moorings, amenity paths, street environment, allotments and public art, and associated facilities, balancing the requirement to manage assets sustainably, meet the needs of the community and maximise financial returns. MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Produce CAD generated drawings, layouts and sections to support planning, tendering and construction functions * Carry out field work and data collection to support project design and development and service planning and delivery * Carry out internet and literature research to support project design and development * Inputting, editing and managing data in GIS and other bespoke systems to support effective service delivery, including asset management, community engagement and project design and development, ensuring that uniform standards for data capture are followed and guidance is sought from the Corporate GIS team.* To use and maintain an asset information database, responsible for collecting, validating and editing and monitoring public realm asset data, including amenity land and associated features (ie. areas of grass, shrubs, borders, pitches, buildings and furniture types), street furniture, allotments, moorings, and associated operational vehicles, plant and equipment. * Administer and maintain asset, operational and project management systems. Use these systems to generate management reports as required.* Assist with the review, development and adoption of asset, operational and project management systems, including administration, finance, procurement, routine and non-routine operations, performance and internal/ external customer communications* Receive and manage incoming customer communications, both direct and referrals, including via Customer Service Centre, ensuring these are acknowledged, logged with the relevant officer, actioned and closed in accordance with corporate procedures and performance standards. Monitor the system and flag up to management cases that have missed/ are at risk of missing standard.* Assist with the analysis, manipulation and presentation of management reports for service managers and head of service.* Support effective financial management, including processing orders/ invoices and over-time requests* Support absence management, including maintaining an accurate online database of all return to work forms, Informal Absence / Formal Absence forms & Doctor Certificates and providing associated management reports.* Support performance management through collating and presenting clear, timely and accurate management reports on key performance indicators, both quantitative and qualitative * Design, proof read and procure stakeholder consultation and service publicity material and produce management reports on consultation results, including use of supporting graphical analysis* Maintain up to date user focused webpage and social media feeds, monitoring content and securing updates* Respond to enquiries, provide advice, administer database and support completion of appropriate legal agreements for use of public realm assetsIf you are interested in this role, please contact Andy at Service Care Solutions on 01772 208958 or email
