The Department of Health is looking for a brilliant content editor to join the content and channels team. You will work in a small team of content specialists, who manage the department?s presence on GOV.UK and other digital channels, including our intranet and social media. You will also work closely with colleagues responsible for digital engagement. You will be a skilled editor with excellent attention to detail. You will also know how to write simply and clearly, with the user in mind, and you will have the confidence to champion high-quality content within the organisation. The successful applicant will: ?           Design and write content for GOV.UK ?           Ensure content is user-focused and consistently meets publishing standards. ?           Review, edit and publish content to strict deadlines using content management systems.?           Work with colleagues to co-ordinate digital content production.?           Produce and publish content for our digital channels and evaluate the impact.?           Provide specialist advice to staff across the department on using digital communication channels effectively.?          Develop excellent working relationships across the department.You?ll need to demonstrate your experience of: ?           Writing for the web, with proven ability to create content that is accessible and usable.?           Producing content based on user needs.?           Managing relationships with stakeholders. ?           Working with content publishing systems.?           Using a style guide to produce consistent content.?           Using your negotiating and influencing skills to get results.?           Working flexibly with team members to deliver shared goals to tight deadlines.You will be expected to demonstrate substantial editorial experience and excellent writing skills.
