Drupal DevelopmentYour new company Well known Royal Borough situated in Central London is seeking to recruit a Drupal Developer for an initial 3 month contract to start ASAP. Your new role 3 month contract working as part of a larger IT and Digital team. What you'll need to succeed Have built custom modules Have built custom themes Have used Drupal hook system Understand how to integrate Javascript Understand Drupal's RESTful Services Can demonstrate good Drupal coding practice Experience using Drush to do basic site maintenance Understands the different caching options, inside and outside of Drupal Experience with Domain Access You will also have experience in as much of the below as possible: PHP experience Some experience with Object Oriented PHP development Familiar with object oriented software design patterns Understand PHP's language and timezone settings and how to change them Database experience Had experience setting MySQL up locally Have experience creating SQL queries in mysql and in PHP, including various types of joins. Knows how to run simple database imports and exports from the command line Linux and Apache experience Have created simple virtual hosts, at least locally Understand the purpose of .htaccess Knows how to SSH into a Linux server, and troubleshoot PHP, MySQL or Apache issues (e.g. scanning logs) Development experience - Experience using git, including git branching and merging Have worked with some form of agile workflow Have experience breaking down spec into user stories and providing estimates Can translate a design or mockup into a functional site Have used technical knowledge to advice on front-end, design and UX technical requirements Can translate technical descriptions into plain English and vice versa in order to communicate to stakeholders clearly Comfortable eliciting requirements from site owner and stakeholders and turning them into functional spec.What you'll get in return The opportunity to work as part of a larger scale IT programme with potential for an extension to start ASAP.
