We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed primary teacher with great energy, passion and a relentless focus on high standards. As part of the United Learning Trust, Abbey Hey Academy is a larger than average sized primary school in the heart of Gorton, East Manchester. We currently have 650 fantastic children from Nursery to Year 6 with a further class next year. Our vision is simple: to ensure children receive the best education that is available to enable them to become the very best that they can be. We are looking to appoint a teacher to work in Key Stage 1 who shares our passion for learning. We are looking for teachers who are: Experienced with a minimum of 3 years Key Stage 1 teaching with either a sound knowledge of the phonics screening check in Year 1 or Key Stage 1 SATs;Enthusiastic, dynamic, with a firm understanding of teaching, learning and assessment;Committed to ongoing professional development and engaging in research based teaching methods;Innovative and creative in their approach to teaching and learning;Committed to putting children?s education at the centre of everything that happens in the school;Be determined to make a difference;Be willing and able to contribute to the wider school community.Be able to create a creative, nurturing and exciting learning environmentAre able to communicate effectively and professionally with children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community;Have outstanding skills in behaviour management;As a member of our team, you will have opportunities to use your wider skills and interests to benefit our children. About The School Abbey Hey Academy became part of United Learning in 2013. We are a larger than average sized primary school with approximately 650 pupils on roll from Nursery to Year 6. Abbey Hey are committed to delivering a broad and balanced curriculum; children undertake lots of educational visits and take part in a wide range of activities from football, netball, ukulele, cookery and gardening. Situated in the heart of Gorton, a suburb of East Manchester, the school serves a vibrant and diverse community of learners. Abbey Hey is incredibly popular with local families and has very few places available along with long waiting lists for some year groups. In 2015, the school secured a ?Good?
