Buyer - (Temporary role) Graduates from Buying and Procurement disciplines encouragedWilmslowŁ10.99 per hour - 12 week contractAn industry leading business in Wilmslow are looking for a buyer to join them on a temporary 12 week assignment during a busy period in their growth.Based just outside Wilmslow, this company has magnificent, purpose built offices with free on site parking and a great working environment with spacious and comfortable offices, with great views of the surrounding area.As a buyer, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:To administer the purchasing of goods and services in compliance with the procurement policy, administering requisitions and processing purchase orders through to receipt of goods ensuring flawless execution.* Complete purchases within agreed SLAs * Transact non-standard purchase requests, using current systems and the P2P system once introduced* Liaise with relevant business areas in order to complete the appropriate purchasing process* Challenge purchase requirements and utilise existing contracts/preferred suppliers* Perform appropriate due diligence when dealing with suppliers* Manage stationery ordering * Tender standard purchase requirements as requested * Contribute to the development of the function and assist with the implementation and administration of P2P* Become departmental expert in the P2P system* Generate savings against the Procurement target and advise achievements to the MI analyst on a monthly basis* Create and utilise blanket orders* Determine and agree with the business items appropriate to be held as inventoryTo be considered a leading candidate for the role of buyer, you will:Qualifications/experience* MCIPs qualification or working towards * Previous experience of supplier & contract management desirable* Ability to support tendering exercises for procurement function* Ability to suggest and manage improvements to processes and overall development of the Procurement function (operational effectiveness)* Demonstrable experience of both general and/or IT Procurement* Experience of developing processes, procedures and checklists to explicitly capture and share knowledgeIf you are able to demonstrate experience in this kind of role, submit your CV immediatelyIf you are a graduate from a buying or procurement background you are encouraged to applyKEYWORDS: BUYER, PROCUREMENT, MCIP, PURCHASE, WILMSLOW, IMMEDIATE, ALTRINCHAM, CHESHIRE, GRADUATESearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
