My client, a Government body that deals with fraud investigations throughout the UK is looking to recruit experienced investigators, on a temporary basis, into one of their busy teams.Duties will include:* Undertaking initial analysis and presentation of evidence gathered in order to produce appropriate reports.* Obtaining, reviewing and analysing information and documents, either through voluntary surrender or by use of the statutory powers under the Criminal Justice Act 1987* Detailed review of information and evidence obtained, assessing its value and carrying out analysis to identify any links that will progress the investigation.* Preparing and maintaining schedules and other forms of evidence.* Preparing forms to enter documents in to the Evidence Management Unit (EMU).* Assisting with searches on Document Management Systems and extracting relevant documents, in particular with reference to the preparation for Section 2 (S2) interviews and the drafting of witness statements.* Assisting with the production of draft statements for Senior Investigators using information obtained from the case.* Drafting reports on work performed and detailing results/findings.* Identifying and providing suggestions for avenues of further investigation.* Planning and conducting interviews of both willing and uncooperative suspects in order to gather evidence in support of the case.* Preparing for, and assisting in interviews of witnesses and victims.* Contributing to the disclosure process in order to satisfy the obligations of the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996.* Proof reading, editing transcripts, compiling inventories of documents seized and other ad hoc duties as directed.You will have experience with investigating fraud and other finically related criminal activity, analytical experience and a working knowledge of the UK legal system.Please make your application today: or email
