Lecturer in Construction (Carpentry and Joinery)                       Ref: 1739 Hours of work: 37 hours per week Salary: £24,271 - £30,715 pro rata per annum Up to £33,554 + Market forces payment options could be accessible for a fully qualified, suitably experienced/exceptional candidates. This can be discussed at interview.Location: Castleford and Wakefield Campuses We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to work as a member of the Construction team to teach the theory and practice on courses within the professional and technical area of the department. As a Lecturer in Construction, you will teach Carpentry and Joinery to students on level 1, level 2 and level 3 provision. As a Lecturer in Construction, you should: Hold a Level 3 in Site Carpentry or Bench JoineryHold GCSE A* - C in Maths and English qualifications or equivalent (new grading 9-4) You should also be able to demonstrate:  Experience of teaching ConstructionExperience of working with 16-18 year olds, ideally in a teaching capacityAbility to maintain appropriate discipline, including the management of the behaviour of challenging learners and groups of learnersBenefits include: Child Care VouchersGenerous Annual LeaveDiscounted Metro Card SchemeGood Pension SchemeExcellent Training & Development Closing date: 11.00am on Thursday 12 October 2017 Provisional Interview date: Thursday 19 October 2017                                 See what we have to offer and come and join us.
