About the roleFraud is an ever changing landscape, with the ever-inventive fraudster seeking new, untapped ways of extracting monies; it is ultimately always a crime for profit. With levels of such frauds continuing to increase it is critical we respond to this challenge.In order to deliver the additional level of protection and control needed to bring fraud down to an absolute minimum and hold it there permanently, we have created a specialist Fraud Technical Leader role which will help us apply new and innovative approaches to managing risk conclusively and is fundamental to the continuing improvement and effectiveness of the Commercial Claims fraud strategy.Reporting to the Technical Strategy Manager and based in Bolton, as Fraud Technical Leader you will have a real impact on our profitability by driving and supporting the development of an effective and efficient operational counter fraud controls resulting in financial benefits of between 35m - 50m per year.Working across the Commercial Claims organisation, you will be using your relevant fraud expertise and industry fraud knowledge to focus on technical reviews and risk assessments such as Fraud Loss Measurement to drive continuous improvement of the detection, investigation and techniques employed. As part of which you will be expected to leverage the benefits of joined up working with your peers in developing coordinated counter fraud controls, including centralisation and dissemination of intelligence and agreed best practise on a cross product basis. You will also be setting, reviewing and monitoring the technical claims handling philosophy and fraud investigation standards as well as evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the operating model for fraud detection, investigation and prevention. In addition to your technical expertise to be successful in this role you will need excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to engage with all interested functions and groups.
