NHS continuing healthcare? means a package of ongoing care that is arranged and funded solely by the NHS where the individual has been found to have a ?primary health need?As the NHS CHC policy manager in NHS England, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team managing the national NHS CHC programme team. The post holder will support the work of the national NHS CHC lead with regards to NHS England statutory functions for NHS CHC as well as other functions including stakeholder engagement as well as contributing to policy briefings and information requests.The postholder will support the NHS CHC Programme by:? Working with and alongside senior managers in the NHS England CHC Team and the Department of Health to ensure CHC policy development; alignment and implementation? Supporting the Regional Statutory Function relating to Independent Review in particular? Supporting with NHS CHC briefings, Freedom of Information requests and general queries? Providing support to developing and implementing the NHS CHC stakeholder engagement strategy. This includes links to the Department of Health with the National Framework. ? Supporting the NHS CHC work streams and key functions of the National NHS CHC business unit where a detailed understanding of NHS CHC is required? Project managing own portfolio of policy work within the National NHS CHC business unit ? this includes the oversight and management of associated project budgets, reporting and investigating risks identified as well as providing responses to queries relating to clarification of the National FrameworkThe role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service delivery.
