Specialist Regional Rehabilitation Centre for the Wessex region NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATIONOXFORD CENTRE for ENABLEMENT   Band 3 Senior Nursing Assistant  Full time/ part time  We provide specialist rehabilitation for individuals aged from 16 years old following a neurological incident. The majority of our patients have suffered vascular or traumatic brain injuries as a result of head injury, stroke, subarachnoid haemorrhage or other forms of brain injury from infection or cardiorespiratory arrest.The Multi-disciplinary Rehabilitation team consists of :Nurses                                               Occupational TherapistsDoctors                                    Speech and language TherapistsPsychologists                                      Physiotherapists We have 26 inpatient beds with a mixture of single and double rooms, the average length of stay is 3-6 months; we work very closely with patients and their families to give them the best possible opportunity to grow as individuals and reintegrate back into society. We use a patient centred /goal planning approach to patient care and support patients and their families through a period of adjustment following a brain injury.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop their clinical skills and make a difference to someone?s life. We are looking for Senior Nursing Assistants with significant experience in acute medicine or in rehabilitation/disability or neurosciences.   Evidence of Level 2 or 3 Diploma or Apprenticeship in Health related subject or working towards either of these is required for this post. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong belief in providing the best patient centered care possible and be passionate about delivering high quality, holistic, effective, safe, and excellent care and strive to continually make improvements. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and an interest for working with individuals with disabilities.In return, we can offer you a friendly and supportive environment together with opportunities for career and personal development suited to your individual needs; including tracheostomy care, injectable training, RAID training , Facilitating learning module.
