Job Role Description We require an inspirational occupational therapist whose passion is supporting adults with mental health issues in services to get back into the community. Someone who is flexible and able to work autonomously planning the recovery pathway with the people supported. Being able to create relationships with other agencies to enable the people supported to have access to them. Introduce and run therapeutic groups within the service and work well with a multidisciplinary team. Able to manage a small case load of people supported, work within a MDT team to ensure that the needs of each person supported are met. Being able to use person centred tools in working with people supported and using structured and evidence based outcome tools to monitor their progress. In line with Alternative Futures Group mission, vision and values the job holder will provide effective occupational therapy interventions to achieve the delivery of strategic and business objectives. Demonstrating through evidence that the services we provide create a world where the people we support control their own lives. Required Skills & Experience Registered Occupational Therapist with the Health Professions Council. Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy Have post qualification experience as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist. Evidence of experience of working with a range of people with mental health problems in a variety of health care settings. Experience in working closely with other professionals and promoting role of OT. Salary & Benefits Salary - 25,000 to 31,000 per annum Closing Date - 29 September 2017 This role is a Band II as per our banding structure.
