We are a new and rapidly expanding employment law practice based just outside Manchester and have recently opened premises in Bristol. Due to an excessive increase in workload we are looking for a team of enthusiastic and self-motivated employment law paralegals / employment consultants or solicitor and advocates to join our Manchester team.We recruit our trainees internally so for the right candidates there will be options to qualify as a solicitor / Legal Executive.Ideally we would prefer candidates who have experience within employment law but this is not essential if you have experience or transferrable skills in dealing with all of the requirements of this role.It is fundamental that the candidate is well spoken and presentable, approachable and friendly with clients and is able to communicate with all clients in a way they understand.We are a down to earth, friendly, but professional firm with a passion for achieving great results for our clients. We are looking to recruit like-minded individuals who have a passion to practise in employment law.Due to the heavy workload and constant deadlines in this area of law the candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise and manage a heavy work load.We are happy to consider part-time working and flexibility to the role where possible.Salary negotiable upon experience.Immediate Start / flexible hours considered.Main job roles will include:-Advising commercial clients on all aspects of employment law (including unfair dismissal, discrimination and TUPE);Advising individuals on prospects of success in relation to all aspects of claims that can be brought in the employment tribunal;Drafting claim forms and grounds of claim;Drafting response forms and grounds of resistance;Attending to assist counsel at final hearings;Complying with case management Orders;Drafting witness statements;NegotiationsAll roles are client facing roles and you will be handling your own case load.One of the directors in Laveer Legal is a barrister. For those who are interested in a attending informal meetings such as disciplinary & grievance meetings, representing clients at formal misconduct hearings (individuals being investigated by their professional bodies) as well as representing clients in the employment tribunal this role will provide you the opportunity to gain experience in handling all of these matters.
