You will work for a disabled lady aged 62. I am a former teacher of Music and French. Now learning Italian! I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis affecting all my joints and now can no longer walk at all or even get to and from the kitchen to make myself any drinks or food.Anyone who is interested in applying for this job, or if you have any queries you can email me directly on gerri.alma85@virginmedia.comPURPOSE OF THE JOB You will provide me with support both inside the home and socially.To cover for colleagues on an Ad Hoc basis - hours offered now and then to cover for absent P.A. colleagues. PLEASE NOTE: This is a RELIEF P.A. job and therefore has no regular or fixed hours - the RELIEF P.A.?s role is to stand in / cover for any of the 3 part-time P.A.s whenever they are absent due to illness, being away on paid holiday, or for some other unforeseen reason. However, the opportunity for extra cover hours is very high as I already have 44 hours of care per week and will shortly be awarded a few more hours weekly. HOURS OF WORK Any weekdays, various times between 9:00 & 20:30. Plus some WEEKEND hours, currently as half-hour calls for breakfast & evening meal slots - especially for half an hour between 9.00-10.30; any half hour between 12:30-15:30 & again for half an hour starting between 18:30-20:00. Car driver preferred, but will consider a non-car driver if you can cycle. Very good health & fitness needed to push me in wheelchair etc. and to cycle if you opt to. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living.  You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay.
