Working across a wide range of sectors from retail through to defence, and construction our customers include Asda, B&Q, Marks and Spencer, BAe Systems, Magnet, Nestle and Heinz.Reporting to the Head of Solutions Architecture, we are seeking a new Pre-Sales Solution Architect who will help drive business growth by maximising opportunities and increasing market share.Key Responsibilities IncludeProactively engage with Business Development, Operations, internal IT stakeholders and peers to build positive rewarding relationships.Actively engage in giving presentations, writing proposals.Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skillsLook for new areas of growth within the business and highlight potential opportunities to Business Development / Account ManagementEngagement with clients (internal and external)Initial contact between Business Development team and ITFill the gap between the functional and business requirements of the CustomerDemonstrate understanding of sales cyclesDocumenting of customer requirementsIT lead for all RFI/RFQ/RFT/RFP/BQ/ITQ/Bulk TenderPresent internally and externally on the solutions portfolio and, at a high level, Wincanton?s broader IS offerings.Perform the necessary analysis and design tasks related to the development of a solution.Analyze business drivers to determine corresponding change in requirements. Support a holistic view of strategic solutions encompassing their fit with business needs and compliance with architectural principles. While considering the factors necessary to successfully service and support their operation in production.Manage the budget of IS solution proposals to level 2, assist Business Development and Operations in identifying commercial opportunities for the use of IS solutions in new business proposals.
