L6 is a 33 bedded ward caring for patients with acute and long term cardiology, diabetes and endocrine conditions. The unit works closely with HCU and the specialist nurse teams to ensure patients receive a high level of care. You will have opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Coronary Heart Disease and Cardiovascular management as well as complex diabetes management. L6 like all wards within Acute/ACM and Specialist Medicine have been successful in achieving the Safe Clean and Personal every time (SCAPE) status, which is the highest level achievable through the nursing assessment and accreditation system.You will be supported within a strong management structure, providing excellence in care, and encouragement to maximise your potential, development and success.You will embrace the challenge of working in a highly diverse environment, committed to becoming the safest organisation in the NHS. You will be registered with the NMC and have experience of working in a hospital environment, a newly qualified nurse or a final year student. If you are a newly qualified nurse we will pay your first year's NMC registration fee as well as paying you at Band 4 until you receive you NMC PIN.We can also offer a competitive relocation package (subject to conditions).?
