Roadside Fuel Technicians required for the leading recovery firm in the UK based in East LondonPetrol or Diesel. It seems so simple in theory. In practice every year in the UK at least 150,000 drivers put the wrong fuel in their car. That's one every three-and-a-half minutes. As a Mobile Fuel Assist Technician you will be retrieving the incorrect fuel from our members? vehicles at the roadside, restarting the engine and getting them back on their way ? after assessing whether it is safe to do so. What will I be doing? You?ll have the open road as your office and working from your allocated liveried vehicle. It?s not a 9 to 5, Monday to Friday job. We make sure that all members and business customers receive the level of service required wherever they need it, whenever they need it. Because of this, you'll work shifts, which could include evenings, weekends and bank-holidays, and in busy periods, you?ll also be asked to work some overtime, and occasionally be on standby. You will be ensuring you have an up to date knowledge of the operation of all vehicle types and the equipment used and building lasting relationships with other colleagues and the 3rd parties we work alongside. You?ll be maintaining your own records at the roadside, ensuring the correct forms and processes are followed at all times. You will be a positive ambassador for the brand, ensuring an exceptional standard of driving, courtesy and professionalism. You will also be providing great customer service to our members (and hopefully relieving them of some of their stress and/or embarrassment). What do I need? You will be dealing with our customers in stressful situations so you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm in a crisis. You?ll need an in depth practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical workings of a wide range of motor vehicles. You also need to have the following technical qualifications: an NVQ Lv3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or Motor Vehicle Craft Studies) or an equivalent NVQ level 3.Due to the nature of the work you will need to hold a full valid driving licence, with 6 points or less, covering B or BE categories. If you don?t yet have the BE category, you?ll need to complete this before you begin - however we will fund this as part of your induction with us.If this sounds like you apply your cv to
