The Relationship Manager - Business Banking role is based within BusinessBanking unit. The role of the Relationship Manager - Business Banking is to acquire, retainand expand relationships with customers we want to bank within BusinessBanking. You will maximise profitably by identifying customer needs first andthen recommending appropriate solutions for the customer to consider andaccept. You will regularly meet with customers and will deal with businessturnover of up to 6.5M GBP. You will provide dedicated relationship managementwith accountability for business development, service, risk and operationaldelivery. Credit risk assessment is a fundamental element of this role. What is attractive about this role is the even split between relationshipmanagement and business development. The diverse and market leading productsavailable enables you to tailor a solution to your customer's needs. There is also a Professional Standards Training Programme and role specifictraining. Your responsibilities will include: Acting as a Relationship Manager by offering value-added advice and guidanceto customers and placing their needs at the forefront of all that we do.Growing sustainable revenues from existing customer portfolios and throughtargeted acquisition of quality new customers while minimizing risk. Keepingabreast of external factors influencing international and domestic businesse.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements.Building a network of business introducers in the local professional andbusiness community Ensuring service excellence at all times Qualifications The ideal candidate for this role will have: Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Business or CorporateBanking Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. RelationshipManagement A desire to find ways to continually improve the service deliveredto customers Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability tocommunicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in ameaningful way to wide and varied audiences Built effective networks acrossbusiness areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouragingothers to do the same Experience of making prompt and practical businessdecision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives andtaking responsibility for outcomes Experience of effectively using yourknowledge of credit products, processes and risks to make fair and informedlending decisions that meet customers' needs A comprehensive understanding ofrisk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance withrelevant regulatory processes A track record of effectively handling complexsales, to meet the needs of demanding customers, in a fair and ethical way The base location for this role is NORTHAMPTON At HSBC we look to enable our employees to better balance their work / lifepriorities and have the flexibility required to meet challenging needs as theyprogress through different life stages.
