This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team of a well-established, Midland based, Health and Safety Consultancy who operate throughout the UK and the world.  Your role will see you primarily develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, initiating conversations, building relationships, managing the customer journey to sale, arranging and attending meetings and overall generating and securing new sales. The successful applicant should be friendly, approachable, have a good sense of humour, organised, busy and proactive with experience in business development.Hours of work are flexible but generally 9.00am ? 5.00pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish Friday.Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for developing and delivering sales success in the designated area.Sales lead generation·      Identify potential prospects and arrange visits·      Follow up on leads provided via website and other marketing activities·      Schedule sales generation activity·      Ensure sales database is kept up-to-date and accurate·      Build/maintain effective customer relationships·      Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure a full appreciation for their business needs and buying intentions·      Establish effective communications with all customers and identified prospects·      Develop a trusted partner relationship·      Investigate and find solutions for customer service issues Secure business·      Prepare tailored sales proposals·      Present quotations and offers to customers·      Complete sales negotiations·      Close sales and submit necessary order documentationMarket intelligence·      Monitor and report on market conditions, competitor activity and product developments·      Assist with market surveys and research·      Identify new market and business opportunities·      Read industry publications/websites·      Maintain suitable professional networks·      Reporting·      Submit sales and activity reports on a timely basis·      Ensure delivery of outstanding customer service·      Coordinate promotion to customers of other services (e.g. training and fire risk assessment)Key tasks·      Increase sales·      Raise brand awareness·      Develop and maintain partnerships·      Generate PR and media coverage for the brand·      Maximise opportunities for Product marketing·      Social media and website content updates·      Product marketingOur ideal Person: ·      Previous experience within a similar role·      Experience within a marketing and sales role ·      Strong general marketing skills and able to take on a variety of skills ·      High level IT skills·      Ability to identify and develop own leads and opportunities·      Self-starter, who is naturally enthusiastic and results-driven·      Strong awareness of customer needs·      Effective communicator and presenter·      Excellent inter-personal skills·      Well-ordered and organised·      Manage/supervise assistant·      UK driving license Applicants to provide a CV
