Band 4 Secretary/Administrator for the Haemophilia Centre at The Royal London HospitalAre you enthusiastic? Would you like to join our team to provide a comprehensive and flexible secretarial service and administrative support to Consultant Haematologists and their team? The Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre at The Royal London Hospital provides a specialist healthcare service for patients with inherited bleeding disorders (IBD) throughout the North East London, and Essex areas.Inherited bleeding disorders (IBD) are caused by genetic abnormalities which result in a reduced ability to form blood clots. The most common IBD is Factor VIII deficiency which can be managed through the use of clotting factors. The main role of the Haemophilia Care Centre is to provide both ongoing and emergency care for these ?haemophiliac? patients and to ensure they can live relatively normal lives. Any applicant must have good attention to detail together with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines. Duties will include dealing with telephone enquiries, letters, email, diaries, organising meetings, chasing deadlines, collation of information/results for reports, typing of clinics using G2 digital dictation system as well as clinic management.You should have good interpersonal skills liaising with colleagues across the CAG as well as external agencies to ensure a safe and efficient service. Previous secretarial experience and understanding of secretarial procedures is an essential requirement for this post. Clinical experience of haemophilia is not required.
