Position Overview To manage, develop and exceed expectations, ensuring an outstanding security provision is provided at all times. Manage an effective Security Operation across all premises ensuring the desired level of customer service excellence and robust security processes are followed by all staff ? never compromising in any area.To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and where necessary developed. A clear understanding of the culture required to ensure all members of the team are fully motivated and committed to providing a bespoke security service.Responsibilities∑ To manage the entire Security team including appraisal/ personal review, coaching, performance management, training and development.∑ Manage staff recruitment, selection and induction programmes for the Security department.∑ Establish and maintain effective scenario testing schedule for all team members, providing a well established emergency response to any site incident.∑ Ensure the contract is correctly staffed at all times, by an organised, consistent and effective rota, adhering to working time regulations to cover both planned and unplanned absences.∑ Work closely with LO Management to provide an effective set of procedures that meet the needs of this developing Contract.∑ Plan short/medium and long term security strategy plans for the Contract with reports, trends, statistics and recommendations∑ To ensure that all site documentation is regularly reviewed and updates are actioned without delay. ∑ Provide the necessary guidance and training for all staff on Security equipment deployed on site. This is to include the timely reporting of any faults to such equipment and amendments to duties according to the loss of equipment.∑ To establish effective relationships with local area stakeholders.∑ Management of Security provision for any events ? advice, guidance and support.∑ Conducting internal investigations (crime or incident related) liaising where necessary with local Police and amending team duties to better prevent re-occurrence of such incidents.∑ To comply with DPA and H&S regulations.∑ To audit all criminal and hazardous incidents within the AOR and buildings and to act accordingly to risk and consequence.∑ To be the Security lead in liaison with the electronic systems installation company, in order to gain a thorough knowledge of all equipment and be the main driver in developing the systems on site in line with Client requirementWhat we are looking for Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent customer servicePrevious experience in managing a contract with 20-25 members of staff desirableAbility to manage and lead a demanding contractExcellent client facing experience/skillsClear understating of security best practiceExcellent knowledge of both the user operation and management of electronic security systems i.e. Access Control, CCTV, Intruder detection systems etc, with the ability and confidence to train othersFront line SIA licenceManagement qualification is advantageousCCTV Licence beneficialFirst Aid at Work qualification IOSH / NEBOSH is advantageousAdditional job board textInterserve's vision is to redefine the future for people and places.
