Company: Strongfield Technologies LtdLocation:  Wembley Middlesex (HA0 1BA)Job Ref: STL/2017/SPD/001 Senior Product Development Engineer We are currently seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to lead a number ongoing and new military generators development projects primarily for the India / MENA market place. Job duties include but not limited to,  ·         Pre-order engineering studies, which mainly involves study of enquiry /tender specifications, preparation of technical offer and complianceto tender specifications and technical negotiations with the customer.·         Post-order engineering studies, involving defining Bill of material,technical specifications for procurement, technical projectdocumentation, attending to customer trials and final trials in thefield for validation of the contractual performance of equipment supplied.·         Engineering calculations related to engine power and Genset output·         Customer interaction/visits on product related feedback and issues,Product support, on site testing, presenting/demo the product,arranging local technical support for repair maintenance or testingrequirements.·         Sub-contractor/Vendor interaction/Visits to ensure quality andtimeliness of the deliverables. Resolving and supporting them ontechnical issues.·         Liaison with Senior Management for new enquiries, technical queriesrelated to Generator. Skill, Qualification and Experience Requirements: Essential ·         Previous relevant development experience in a generator  R&D / manufacturing environment. ·         Graduate degree in Technical Engineering discipline, with relevant experience. Design for manufacture knowledge within generator industry ·         Experience of using CAD/CAM software including 2D and 3D modelling packages.·         Experience of optimising production processes as well as providing production support and training. ·         Project management experience including managing project budgets, raising orders and track spending.·         Experience in problem-solving and root cause analysis in a Manufacturing/production environment.·         Excellent communication skills and good interpersonal, teaming, leadership skills and an attention to detail. ·         Supplier & customer management experience  Desirable ·         Experience with design, development & testing of Military/defence generators (diesel & petrol)  Salary: £35000 per annum Closing date: 29th September 2017
