The Faculty of Arts has an immediate vacancy for up to six months to September 2017 to cover the maternity leave of the current Student Administration Manager in the Faculty Education Team. The post could be a secondment. We are looking for an experienced administrator who is adept at multi-tasking and thrives on challenge. The role will be dealing principally with postgraduate research administration but knowledge too of undergraduate and postgraduate taught administration would be an advantage. You will be expected to manage the day-to-day work of the Faculty Education Team (3 members of staff) in liaison with the Faculty Education Manager, and you will be responsible for the delivery of taught administrative services for both postgraduate and undergraduate students. This includes ensuring accurate maintenance of the student record (eg registration, upgrade, suspension, extension, fees), management of e-submission, servicing Faculty Graduate Studies Committee, annual progress monitoring, day to day enquiries from both staff and students, and managing exam boards. The ability to understand, implement and apply education policy and procedure and University regulations is essential. You will have well-developed and proven organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, an excellent level of IT skills and flexibility to meet and deal with competing demands and deadlines on a daily basis.
