The Student Fees team currently bills and collects tuition fees and accommodation fees for over 25,000 students. We are looking for a Student Fees Assistant in the Student Fees department to join the team responsible for ensuring the efficient and prompt collection of all fee related income.Educated to GCSE or equivalent, with a book keeping background, this post requires excellent interpersonal skills as responsibilities involve dealing with specialized queries by telephone, email and in person.The team is a high volume, highly pressurized area therefore the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines is essential. Experience of dealing with all aspects of student tuition fee and accommodation finance is desirable, but full training will be given.The University?s IT systems include Banner (student records), Agresso (finance), Room Service (accommodation) and Service Now (customer interaction records); as well as the usual MS packages. Previous experience of using Banner and Agresso, or similar systems is essential.You should be well organized, analytical with good numeracy skills and be self-motivated. Good communication and IT skills are essential. We would expect the successful candidate to quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of relevant University systems and procedures.
