If you are unable to attend the Open Day please just apply online.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE AN INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT WORKER:As a support worker you will be providing support and care for the people we support with the aim of helping them to be as independent as possible and to achieve their personal potential. There's no such a thing as a typical day, every day is interesting and varied. From providing personal care or emotional support to supporting someone in the community with food shopping or social activities such as swimming, eating out or attending healthcare appointments. You will be providing support that makes a real difference to people's lives.There is also some important admin to do as well, such as dispensing and recording medicines for the people you support, along with updating support records on our computer system.Whatever your day includes, as a support worker you'll need to be patient, caring and a great communicator.
