Monday to Friday (30 hours per week)8am-2pm£10.00 per hourStart date: 31st AugustYou will be responsible for providing meals in line with educational nutritional guidelines and to meet the special dietary requirements of some of our children. Your role will require you to prepare, cook and serve meals to pupils and staff as well as other kitchen management duties such as supervision of staff, ordering of food, stocktaking and administration, setting out and putting away dining furniture, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining areas. Requires:   *   Previous experience of running a busy kitchen   *   Qualification in basic food hygiene is essential   *   Basic knowledge of food allergens and intolerances is desirableThis post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration. Any information supplied will be discussed at interviewEssential:Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or equivalent (or must complete and pass this training in first three months of employment at ISS ? post holder must achieve this as a minimum)Health and Safety Certificate or equivalent (or must complete and pass this training in first three months of employment at ISS ? post holder must achieve this as a minimum)Skills and Experience:·      A minimum 1 years? experience as Catering Manager or the potential to develop from a catering assistant with additional training and development·      Advanced understanding of school catering and excellent food preparation and cooking skills·      Demonstrate acceptable level of understanding of Health and Safety and accident prevention·      Ability to demonstrate understanding profit and loss·      Good communication skills·      Excellent interpersonal, administrative and organisational skills·      Good understanding of kitchen software, e.g. Cypad, or willingness to learn·      Positive and proactive attitude·      Ability to build strong enduring relationships with clients, customer and colleagues Attributes:·         Positive pro-active attitude·         High energy and drive to deliver beyond expectations
