Are you looking for night shift work? Could you support people with learning disabilities, helping to make a positive difference in their lives? MacIntyre is a leading national charity supporting people with learning disabilities. We are looking for a Part-Time (30 hours per week) Waking Nights Support Worker to join the team at our Registered Care home in Birkenhead. At this service, we support five adults with learning disabilities. It is a mixed service for men and women, and they are aged from mid-fifties to mid-sixties. You will be available during the night to provide physical support and emotional reassurance when people are wakeful, and checking at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable. Some of the people we support require help with intimate care or medication. You will take your turn on a night shift rota which includes weekends and public holidays. Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn.
