We are looking for a creative and talented web designer & developer to join our new in-house website team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual working for a well-established north east industrial supplier based at the company?s head office.THE JOB :-As web designer and developer, you will play a key role in the development, build and maintenance of our website, web applications and customer portals whilst aiming to increase the online presence and e-commerce of the company.Duties will include :-- Designing web pages (including graphics, animation, functionality, security & recovery)- Creation and development of site layout / user interface- Routine daily maintenance of the site and applications- Maintain and develop customer online purchasing portals- Liase with existing IT suppliers/consultants- Offer technical perspectives for senior management meetings- Conceptualise website designs that bring simplicity for end users- Develop links with existing stock and accounting systems THE PERSON :-Attributes to include :-- Proven work experience as a web designer- Demonstratable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio- Passionate about web design and graphics- High level of attention to detail and focus on quality of output- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team- Adaptable to the changing commercial landscape of customer and industry needs- Effective communication skills to liase directly with customers and department managers.Familiarity and experience with the following would be advantageous :-- HTML, XML, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript- Adobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)- 3D CAD, Sketchup, Maya and Cinema 4D- Polsa Media WEB development tools- Agility Multichannel PIM- Merchant Mentor- Legacy SystemsTHE BENEFITS :-- Permanent, Full time role 40 hours per week (Mon ? Fri)- 30,000 - 33,000 per annum (pending experience)- 20 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays (increases by 1 day per 5 years service)- Skills support with access to training when needed- Pension
