Job SummaryAre you looking for a new challenge and want to be part of an exciting team where your role makes a difference?We are looking for experienced call handlers to join our NHS 111 Service in Ipswich to manage calls from members of the public with non-emergency/urgent needs. You will complete training via NHS Pathways and direct the caller to the best service suitable to meet their needs. This is predominantly an ‘Out of Hours’ service and our current need is for part time Health Advisors who can work various shifts including evenings and weekends. Full Training is given and a clinical background is not required.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Health Advisor you will be answering telephone calls from members of the public within a defined time frame using NHS Pathways software and provide the appropriate response to the patient’s need. The response could be to escalate it to a Clinical Advisor, dispatch an ambulance in the case of an emergency or provide information about available services. You will need to maintain competencies in line with the framework defined by the NHS Pathways license requirements and comply with all policies and regulations relating to clinical governance and patient confidentiality. All patients must be treated with empathy, respect and consideration.
